Traumatic Brain Injury Use Case

The STAGE protocol is designed to be highly sensitive to the visualization of lesions that may originate from trauma. STAGE has the ability to demonstrate key vascular brain damage which may be missed by conventional or low resolution scans.

What do we look for?

  • Cerebral Microbleeds
  • Medullary Vein Damage/Vascular Injury
  • Shearing Damage
  • Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

Alongside the SWIM (QSM) and R2* maps, STAGE SWI has the ability to visualize both small and large lesions of various composition due to the careful selection of imaging parameters and resolution. Additional water content changes can also be visualized in the T1 and PD mapping images.
