Aging & Dementia Use Case

STAGE provides a method to visualize brain tissue and neurovascular changes and lesions in the aging brain and Dementia. Phase data is used to reconstruct the source properties of areas of interest in the brain.

What do we look for?

  • Brain Tissue Contrast – White Matter, Gray Matter, and Cerebrospinal Fluid
  • Neurovascular Lesions and Hemosiderin Deposition
  • Differentiation of Mineralization and Hemorrhage

STAGE outputs have the ability to allow for visual determination if dephasing is caused by calcification or if it is an area which has bled. The T1 mapping and eT1W outputs allow for further contrast between structural tissue types in the brain.
